Why do people say that Lucifer is evil?

Lucifer is not evil. He has nothing to do with killing, pain,death and suffering. How many people have died in the name of christianity? I think close to a couple million? That's quite a bit. Now you see as soon as something bad happens christians will automatically point to satan, and when there is good they point to god. Sorta like satan is god's scapegoat for being malevolent?? I think its safe to say christianity has caused more pain and suffering in this world than any other religion. And that's based on fact.
