I replaced the thermal fuse in my 110 volt ac fan. Why does it run backwards even if I swap the wires over?

HAHA that's funny lol! Jokes apart, a bad capacitor in an AC fan causes a motor to run backwards. Replace the capacitor and it'll run fine. Swapping the wires won't help in alternating current.
