If someone activates a card that Destroys all Spells & Traps, does field barrier protect my field card?

So i was having an argument the other day with my friend who activated Malevolent Catastrophe (When an opponent's monster attacks, destroy all spells and traps on the field) because I had Field Barrier (Field Spell's cannot be destroyed, new field spells cannot be played) protecting my Necrovalley (Field Spell). So do both my Field Barrier AND Necrovalley get destroyed? Or just Field Barrier?
