How to unscew a misshaped screw?

The only way I know of to get a screw out that's head is ruined is to drill a hole in it and use an "easy out" which has a backwards thread. You screw it into the hold you drilled backwards and it should tighten up and back the screw out (in a perfect world). I'm guessing this is a very small screw so hopefully you can find an easy out small enough. Good luck.
