Black ops call of duty, zombies question? ?

I got up to round 35 with my friend and so on the lobby leaderboard it said round 35 was my highest, but then a few weeks later it decided to change my highest round back down to 19, but my highest score was still the same score as my round 35, please can you explain why this happens and how to avoid it?
